The quest to build the gap existing in strengthening health systems across developing countries, has eventually led to the creation of GHSSI, operating under the arm of Global Health Systems Solutions ,a well-known international NGO, aimed at strengthening health systems in some African countries.
In this light therefore, staff members of Global health Systems Solutions Institute, converged on the school premises on Friday December 15, 2023, at Mile -2 Limbe, for the very first staff meeting since the inception of the school.
The main objective of this meeting was to map out strategies to effectively start the academic year. During the session, the Director of GHSSI Prof. Patrick Njukeng expressed firm commitment to provide an enabling environment for this new institution, by building human resource capacity for health, through Classroom instruction and hands -on experience.
Prof. Njukeng however appealed to the staff to welcome this new dream and remain resilient amid challenges.
The meeting equally ended with the presentation of calendar of activities for the academic year, course content and final lecture timetable to the staff by the coordinator Mr Calvin Oyong.
Meantime orientation of new students was slated for January 4th, while effective classes were set to begin on Monday January 8, 2024.
